Sarracenia alata (Harrison Co, MS)
Sarracenia alata (Harrison Co, MS)
Our Sarracenia alata (Harrison Co, MS) were all propagated from our own mother plant that we obtained from a carnivorous plant grower in Oregon several years ago. We unfortunately do not have a photo of the pitchers on hand until spring. However, this particular plant gets extremely tall. For us, reaching heights of near/over 30 inches growing in a 1 gallon pot. The potential for it to get much larger is there, if given the space to grow. It clumps up very quickly and will produce runner rhizomes within a single season. An excellent, forgiving, location data plant for beginners to start a collection with.
